Oh What A Difference!

Hello to all!

I just thought I would share my heart with you about a song on our latest CD titled “Miracles.” It’s probably the best CD we have ever recorded. I was driving somewhere the other day, and I was listening to the lyrics of each song. I thought of how every song on that CD ministered to me personally in some way.

One song in particular has become my favorite. It is song #3 on the CD. My daughter-in-law, Brooke, sings it and does a fabulous job. The song talks about living in bondage and being shackled by sin, then He (Jesus) made me an offer I could not refuse of a new life abundant and free. All I had to do was say “yes Lord.”

Oh, what a difference God has made in my life. Since the day He chose me, and I received Him I have never been the same. I remember my valley of sorrow and now I’m living in the summit of joy! My life is different in Him. I love the Lord and I love living for and serving Him.

If you don’t have the “Miracles” CD, I encourage you to get it. If you do have it, pull it out and listen to it.

Would you share with me your favorite song from this CD, why it’s your favorite and how it ministers to you? I am waiting for your feedback!

I Just Love Jesus,

Dr. Brenda Robinson

My favorite song on the last CD is fragments. I am so glad that all he needs is just a fragment. I only have to give so little to receive so much. God has richly blessed me through your songs and ministry so many times. May God continue to bless you and your family as you minister for him.

On the lastest project, “Miracles”, my top three favorites are “You’re Looking at a Miracle,” “He Will Hide Me,” and “Oh What a Difference.” I feel that these three songs reflect my life and my life in Christ. I often reflect on my past and where it could have taken me if God through Jesus His Son handn’t intervened. You will never know how much your ministry and music have helped me everyday in my walk. 8. Nona posted on August 29th, 2009 at 9:21 am Ms. Brenda, I would have to say the song “New Desire”. I went through 3 years of watching my dad’s health fail. He was struggling with heart problems, but the worst was his Alhezimers. My dad was a strong, outgoing man and an old time Baptist pastor. I couldn’t understand why God would let him forget his only daughter and his wife of 35 years. I watched as he suffered and my mom suffered just as much. I was mad at God for not having compassion, or mercy for the parents that I love so much. I have been taught all my life that Jesus would always be with you through anything that you go through, but during those 3 years I could not see. I went to church just because that was what I was suppose to do. Being a preacher’s kid, you have to do that (so I thought). I lost all desire to go to church, worship, pray, everything that had to do with God and church. I wanted no part of it. My dad past away Feb. 7, 2009, and about 3 months ago, my husband started back in church, I searched the bible for why we suffer. I finally got it!! My family life is joyful, my kids are happier. I’m so thankful that I have that desire for God, I want to read my bible, I can’t wait to go to church, I praise God ALL the time. Thank God for my NEW DESIRE for him. Nona

That song is so old :) . I am so blessed to know that you are still listening to it. My heart goes out to you. It is very hard to watch those you love slowly perish from life as they once knew it.

God knows all about our lives and that is what gets us through our trying times. Trusting Him in and through those times is what gives your family joy today. Keep living in the new desire God has blessed you with

THERE ARE SO MANY BATTLES GOING ON RIGHT NOW THAT ALL I CAN DO IS GIVE IT TO GOD. I FEEL SO HELPLESS SOMETIMES, BUT I KNOW THAT GOD WILL NEVER LEAVE AND IF I JUST STAND STILL AND LISTEN I KNOW HE IS ALWAYS AT WORK AND HE KNOWS ALL. I CAN ALSO TESTIFY THAT GOD HAS DONE A WORK IN MY LIFE. PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR OUR CHURCH AND THE PEOPLE. MY HEART HURTS RIGHT NOW AND I AM TRYING TO KEEP FOCUS ON GOD AND CONTINUE ON, BUT IT IS SO HARD SOMETIMES. I JUST KEEP REMEMBERING WHAT JESUS ENDURED FOR ME. I CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR YOU AND NEW DESIRE AND YOUR FOCUS. SEE YOU SOON AND GOB BLESS YOU ALL.

Then the next one would be “On the Other Side”. Next would be “He Will Hide Me” and “He’s Concerned about Me” from the Miracles CD. I just love New Desire and they really live what they teach. They are more than just singers, they truly minister. They are a multifaceted ministry with the Bible teaching of Brenda, the Evangelistic preaching of Bro Dan and Bro Labron, and the incredible sincerity with which Brooke sings with her lyrical soprano voice. I am a music major and recognize high profile quality vocal abilities. This group has it all, however; I dont see the recognition from the industry they deserve. Faith is the key. Keep it up New Desire.

I never want it to be about me…just ALL ABOUT HIM! I am so unworthy but He is so worthy of PRAISE! Recognition from the industry is not what we are about and you of all people know that. We appreciate your concern though, but we are all about the soul winning business end to this. That is what will last for an eternity. Brenda,
I love all of New Desire’s CD’s and every song. But for the moment my favorite is #6 on the Miracles CD. I know the Master of the Wind and I KNOW the maker of the rain! As we prepared for the Women’s Conference I knew I had to get in the word to feel what I needed to feel to prepare and I needed to be close to God. On Monday morning before the conference I looked through my CD’s and left it to God which one I pulled from the stack. I have them all and it was Miracles. Every time I got into the car it played. I listened to every song many times when I drove to work or wherever. One evening I just drove up in the yard and just set there until #6 finished playing. #6 seemed to speak to me the most. I don’t know how many times I played it over and over. And with the radio turned up loud I could even sing pretty good with Brooke and New Desire. I listened to this song and prepared myself for what God was sending me and each and every lady at our Women’s Conference. I was so full I could have popped! I agree with every one though as your mood changes you need different songs that minister to you. Your music is a blessing to me. Can’t wait until the next CD. Thank you!

For me, Oh What A Difference is my favorite and He’s Concerned About Me would be my next favorite on the new project. Oh What A Difference speaks volumes about the instant change that Christ made in my life when I surrendered to Him as my Lord and Savior. I’m so thankful that I am not the same person I was in the past. Just like He promised the old became new. Every time I hear Oh What A Difference, I think about what a change He did make in my life, taking me from a valley of sorrow to the summit of joy, releasing me from the bondage of sin, and I just praise Him and thank Him for the work He has done and is doing in my life. I’m so thankful He changed me from a worthless sinner to a victorious saint- WOW What A Difference He made in my life!!!

He’s Concerned About Me reminds me that God does love little nothing me, and that He’s concerned about every aspect of my life- from the small seemingly insignificant things to the giant battles I face. I am amazed that, in this vast universe of so many people, with so many problems, He loves ME and knows me by name! Oh What A Savior!

Of course I love ALL of New Desire’s music and all of the songs minister to me in one way or another- many times depending on what I’m going through at the moment.

I wonder from any of you reading this post what is your favorite New Desire song of all times?

  16. Kristi posted on August 18th, 2009 at 8:00 pm Many of the songs from New Desire minister to me in different ways; whether I am on a mountain and wanting to praise Him or in the valley needing a pick me up. Most of the time now, I have the “Miracles” project playing all the time. ‘Oh What a Difference’ has to be my favorite on the project. I was not what people would call a bad person, no, I was more of a goodie-goodie; however, I was lost and on my way to hell. Now, because of the difference He made in me, I am a sinner saved by grace on my way to heaven! The song says, “it happened the instant,” and I am so glad I have a know-so salvation that is real that happened immediately when I asked! ‘He’s Concerned about Me’ is another favorite. Sometimes we get so overwhelmed and so burdened with things in life, we feel as is no one cares-or at least I do. But, what a comfort to know and to realize that He does care! He cares about me all the time, no matter what is going on or how small it may seems. Like I said, I like all the songs for different reasons. I love how each song ministers to me and I love all of you-bunches!

    Brenda,

Like so many – I love everything New Desire sings. The reason why is because they speak truth and life to my soul. That is the thing I admire most about you and New Desire is your unwillingness to compromise the message of your music. Miracles is an awesome CD – believe it or not I’ve even come to love “Ain’t No Grave”! My personal favorite and the one that says it all is “More than a Difference” – it is the Gospel:

You wouldn’t have known Him He was dreadfully scorned
His body was battered and crowned with thorns
His life He freely gave He didn’t count it as loss
The ransom for MY sin was paid at the cross

It made more than a difference
You see the cross gave ME life
The stripes He bore & the blood He shed
Made ME an heir with Christ
The guilt & shame, the blood & pain
    The agony as He died
Jesus suffered it all on the cross
    That should have been MINE!!

Nothing else needs to be said – thank you Jesus for taking my sin and shame and giving me abundant and eternal life!!! And thank you New Desire for proclaiming the message of hope to this lost and dying world. I love you guys!

    Working til Jesus Comes,

    Tammy

He has blessed me in so many ways my heart is over flowing with so much thankfulness in it and so many things I could share the main one is knowing that back in 1991 I ask Jesus to come in my heart and to forgive me of my sin’s and he did I have never regreted that day. In FEB. 2008 AT THE WOMENS conference Jesus opened my eyes & heart and he placed JOY, STRENGTH, and COMFORT in me because he was preparing me for what I was going to be facing. HE is always there even when we don’t realize it giving us what we need. OH What A DIFFERENCE GOD has made in my life because I know I’m HEAVEN BOUND!!!! LOVE YOU ALL!! Dearest Diane, Thank you for taking the time to respond and share with us the song that ministers to you at this time. I remember your tough battles in 2008. The death of loved ones especially children take forever to deal with. It seems the loss and the pain never go away. We just learn to deal with it a little better as time passes. I don’t think we ever get over it. God just gives us the grace to get through it.

I am blessed to know that our annual women’s conference in 2008 was a turning point in your relationship with God. My heart is blessed to know that you still listen to our music on a daily basis. I pray that it will continue to get you and your family through the rough days. Our lives are hid with Christ in God.

It won’t be long until Dan and New Desire will be running revival in your part of Kentucky. I still do not know the meal provisions. I am waiting to hear from the pastor. I will keep you posted.

Brother Elmer, We are so thrilled you love us : ). You got the whole idea in my asking people to give me their favorite and then tell me why it was a favorite. I am searching to see how many listen on a daily basis to God’s anointed music and what it means to them.
We love you and appreciate your dedication to God and New Desire. Keep listening and as your mood changes God will minister to you accordingly. Isn’t it a blessing to know God cares about our every mood. He uses music to feed, comfort and even change our moods.

It’s a hard thing you ask Brenda,, pick a favorite, # 2 “On my Way” ok, rocks just a little, “I was a sinner lost and hopeless,” thats it.
But wait how about #6 “My boat of life sails on troubles sea’s”.
As I listen to the CD’s, (I very seldom listen to radio) my favorite seems to change according to my mood.
But,, sorry Brenda and Dan, “Small lonely hill” and “Master of the wind”, does it for me every time.
