“As Small As I Am”

“Lord in Heaven above, why did you pick me to love? Why you love me, I can’t understand.” Have you ever said these words in your head? I have said it so many times. I don’t understand why God would choose me to love when there is so many others in the world. He knew my short-comings, the mistakes I would make, the wrong turns I would take before He ever created me, and He still CHOSE me! How amazing is that? I am very small in His large creation, but He still gave me the wonderful gift of eternal life. The Bible says in John 15:16 (NOTE: these words are written in RED “straight from our Lord, Jesus Christ”), “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”

This song goes on to say, “I see others more worthy of Jesus than me, yet He loves me as small as I am.” HE LOVES ME!!!! You can put your name there. He is no respecter of persons. He loves you too! He just wants to know if you love Him enough to let Him “wipe off your sins and put you on your feet again” and go out and bring forth fruit.

Do you know without a doubt that God loves you as small as you may feel? Are you willing to allow Him to wipe you off and go to work for His Kingdom? Let me know how you feel and what you think.

“He’ll Do It Again”

Well folks, we are rapping up our vocal sessions for the duet project and we are so excited.  Each song was prayed over and has a story behind it.  Many of the songs were inspired by members of our home church and have ministered to both of us many times.

Labron and I are like so many other married couples.  We have been through some very rough storms in the past ten years.  Can you believe it?  We don’t have a perfect marriage (haha).  During one of our particular storms, I can remember sitting in church and hearing our good friends, Stacey, Carolyn, and Ken singing this song.  Labron was on the front pew and I was sitting directly behind him.  He was shaking from head to toe.  You could sense conviction and healing all at the same time.

Stacey was singing  “You may be down and feel like God has somehow forgotten; you may be faced with circumstances you just can’t get through.” Have you ever been there? Have you ever felt like God has forgotten you? We have been there and He is always faithful to show us His love.  Don’t give up in the midst of your storm.  He will be there to sail through the storm and guide your ship even when you think He’s not there.

We pray that this song will minister to you once we release it.  Share with us your “circumstances you just can’t get through” so that we can pray for you as well as better deliver the song when we sing it—just from knowing what the people in the audience may be facing.

Oh What A Difference!

Hello to all!

I just thought I would share my heart with you about a song on our latest CD titled “Miracles.” It’s probably the best CD we have ever recorded. I was driving somewhere the other day, and I was listening to the lyrics of each song. I thought of how every song on that CD ministered to me personally in some way.

One song in particular has become my favorite. It is song #3 on the CD. My daughter-in-law, Brooke, sings it and does a fabulous job. The song talks about living in bondage and being shackled by sin, then He (Jesus) made me an offer I could not refuse of a new life abundant and free. All I had to do was say “yes Lord.”

Oh, what a difference God has made in my life. Since the day He chose me, and I received Him I have never been the same. I remember my valley of sorrow and now I’m living in the summit of joy! My life is different in Him. I love the Lord and I love living for and serving Him.

If you don’t have the “Miracles” CD, I encourage you to get it. If you do have it, pull it out and listen to it.

Would you share with me your favorite song from this CD, why it’s your favorite and how it ministers to you? I am waiting for your feedback!

I Just Love Jesus,
